Trip Summary:

Eastern Annapurna trek is a off the beaten trek. This trek offers experience of walking through wilderness and unspoiled forest possibility to see wildlife and rich vegetation.  Some of the campsites are surrounded by breath taking natural beauty. Eastern Annapurna trek is probably the ideal trek for those who like to trek in wilderness away from normal trekking route.  Trek requires full camping organization due to remoteness of the area. This trekking is fit for any age group and requires certain degree of fitness. Cost Includes:

Kathmandu Portion:

  • 3 Nights accommodation in Kathmandu Guest House in Kathmandu on twin sharing BB basis as per the itinerary.

Pokhara Portion:

  • 1 Night accommodation in Fishtail Lodge in Pokhara on twin sharing BB basis as per the itinerary

Transportation:

  • All airport transfers as per the itinerary by private vehicle.
  • Private vehicle: Kathmandu to Besisahar and Besisahar to Pokhara.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m/4265ft):
Arrival in Kathmandu greeted by Basanta Adventure representative and transferred to Hotel which is usually a walking distance to any good restaurants and shops. We will be given a short briefing on hotel facilities and safety as well as a short introduction to the area.  Next day there will be a comprehensive trip briefing. O/N in Hotel at Kathmandu (BB)

Day 02:  Trek briefing and Sightseeing of World Heritage sites:
After breakfast, trek briefing will take place around 9 am. All aspects of gear and conditions are discussed to make sure you are fully prepared for the trip, introduce guide and any last-minute questions would be answered. Then visit Patan Durbar Square and Golden Temple. It is full of artistic and ancient palace, temples, stone taps and local foods.

Day 03, Drive Kathmandu to Beshisahar: 6 – 7 hrs drive
After breakfast, drive Kathmandu to Beshisahar. Stop at Kurintar for lunch after driving for about 3 hrs from Kathmandu. Total drive will take about 6 – 7 hrs from Kathmandu. Your Camping crew will prepare the fresh meal using our own food supply but you will stay in the local guesthouse. Overnight at Lodge (AP)

Day 04: Trek to Baglung Pani: 5 – 6 hrs trek
Today is the first day of your trek. After your breakfast you will start your trek to Baglung Pani. You will have a quick walk down to the small stream, cross the stream and then trek uphill through steps to Makai Danda. This should take you about 1.5 hrs. After the short break continue trekking uphill until you reach the lunch spot which is called Puma Danda in local language. You can have a quite good view of some high mountains if the weather is clear. Annapurna range and the lumjung Himala range are the most popular view from this point. Also you can see Fishtail, beautiful high hills, view of Beshisahar village and some other local village. After the good view and your lunch, continue trek uphill for about half an hour then walk another 40 minutes before you reach Baglung Pani. Most of the people living in this village are from Gurung and Tamang community. Overnight at Camp (AP)

Day 05: Trek to Ghan Pokhara: (2200m), 5 – 6 hrs trek
Today you will start your trek in a wide track (you will notice few vehicles operate in this newly open track) for about an hour. Take a short break at Kapur village. Continue another one hour walk until you reach the old trekking trail. Then begin uphill walk for about 2 hours, reach lunch spot, Ghale Gaun. After hot lunch trek for about half an hour on flat trail then climb uphill for about an hour before you reach camp site. You have a great view of Manaslu range, Annapurna range, high lush green hills, local villages, corn fields etc. Overnight at Camp (AP)

Day 06: Trek Bhaisi Kharaka: (2700m) 6 hrs trek
Today is one of the difficult uphill. You will trek uphill for about 3 hrs before you reach lunch camp. After hot lunch you climb another 2 – 3 hrs uphill until Bhaisi Kharka.  View of Manasalu ranges, Lamjung and beshisahar.

Day 07: Trek to Ramrong Lower Base Camp: (3700m () 5 – 6 hrs trek
Today, after your breakfast you will trek steep uphill for about an hour through the Rhododendron forest. Then gradual uphill almost all the way to Ramrong base camp. Most of the time you will be trekking through forest, especially pine forest. Today you will have packed lunch as there is no water source nearby. Overnight at camp (AP)

Day 08: Rest day
It is a beautiful camping site. You may want to walk nearby area green pasture or just relax in Camp. Overnight camp.

Day 09: Trek to Upper Base Camp: (3850m) 3 – 4 hrs
Today is the shortest trek day. After breakfast you will walk for 3 – 4 hours to Upper Base Camp.  Trail is a mixture of uphill, downhill & gradual flat. You will have your hot lunch in the camp itself. After lunch you can hike nearby camping area. Overnight at camp (AP)

Day10:  Rest day
After breakfast, hike to Ramrong Peak (viewpoint), 3970m, 3-4 both ways. Return to campsite for overnight.

Day 11: Trek to Haju Dobato: 5 hrs
Today, until the lunch you will walk downhill through the rocky trail. After lunch you will trek couple of hours uphill and downhill until Haju Dobato. Overnight at Camp (AP)

Day12: Trek to Karpu Danda (3120m). 5 hrs trek.

Today you will trek through Rhododendron forest mostly downhill. At the beginning you will trek in a flat trail then gradual downhill all the way to Karpu Danda. Overnight at Camp (AP)

Day 13: Trek to Tangting Village (1700m). 5 hrs trek.

After breakfast you will start descending towards Tangting Village. You will trek steep downhill all the way through jungle. You can have few glimpses of Annapurna and Lanjung Himal. You can also see beautiful village of Sikless and many more on the other side of the hill.  Overnight at Camp

Day 14: Trek to Besi: 1 hour trek and 2 hrs drive to Pokhara.
After breakfast, trek down to Besi  for about an hour. Then further 2 hours drive to Pokhara. Trek ends.  Hotel (BB)

Day 15: Fly back to Kathmandu:
We take the short but thrilling internal flight past Manaslu and Ganesh Himal to Kathmandu. We are met and brought back to a warm welcome and the comforts of our Hotel. There will be time in the afternoon for more sightseeing, shopping or relaxation in the bars of Thamel. O/N in Hotel at Kathmandu (BB)

Day16: Final departure:
Today holiday extension for another tour or transfer you to the airport for final departure. Tour concludes
